Kampot & Kep Rides

Trip from Kampot or Kep where to visit:

Phnom Chhngok Cave: Phnom Chhnork is a Hindu cave temple in Kampot Province, southern Cambodia, located about 5 miles northeast of Kampot. The temple was built in the 7th century from Funan brick, dedicated to Shiva. It is accessed via stone steps.

BoTree Farm: Bo Tree Farm is a family-run, organic pepper farm, on the south coast of Cambodia in Kampot province. The main crop on BoTree Farm is organic Kampot pepper.

Wat Traeuy Kaoh: Wat Traeuy Kaoh is located right by the river and is beautifully intricate. It’s a very local temple and quite unknown, a must-see while here!

La Plantation Pepper: La Plantation is a social and sustainable family project, the perfect combination of traditional farming and modern processing. At La Plantation, we produce Black, Red, and White Kampot pepper and the exclusive Fresh Salted Kampot Pepper, Red Long Pepper, Turmeric, Bird Chili, and local fruits. Grown traditionally and harvested by hand, our spices are processed with high standards of quality and hygiene and are certified organic by Ecocert. Presentation, tasting, and free guided tour in English, French, and Khmer. You will understand why Kampot Pepper has been elected the #1 best pepper in the world. La Plantation has also a social dimension by improving the living conditions of many people in this rural area and by taking care of the primary school. You can enjoy our spices in our two restaurants (Khmer and French), or join a Khmer cooking class. You can also experience a tour in the rural countryside up to Secret Lake in a cart pulled by water buffaloes.

Kep Crab Market: Unique Kep Crab Market is located in a small peaceful seaside village in the Town of Kep, which is just an easy bus ride from Phnom Penh. The market has a long-standing history as the locals have been doing business here for decades. The atmosphere inside Kep Crab Market is always hectic and bustling from day to night. Coming to the village just to visit and pass through the Crab Market with tasting no crabs is extremely a big mistake. You may get overwhelmed by the fact Kep Crab Market offers some of the freshest crabs in the whole world! Especially, the crab and seafood combined with the flavor of Kampot hot pepper are considered by many tourists as the perfect combo you must try when you have a chance to cross the market.

Kep Beach:

Kep Beach in Cambodia is slowly developing, getting more visitors each year. The primary public beach is a kilometer-long stretch of powder-soft, white sand, and calm azure waters. It’s the perfect place to relax with a good book, soak up some sun, and forget all your worries.

Plenty of restaurants and seafood vendors are dotted along the road behind the beach, so you can treat yourself to a proper meal without having to leave the area. Kep can get quite busy, especially on the weekends. Still, you have the place practically to yourself if you decide to visit during the week.

If you are looking for a bit of adventure, The Sailing Club, a top Kep Beach resort, offers kayak and stand-up paddle board rentals. The sea is nice and calm, so you can definitely enjoy these watersports during your visit.

You should note that Kep Beach is human-made; however, it is still beautiful and a great spot to interact with some local Cambodians. There is a lovely promenade you can walk along, like many other famous beaches in Asia, so you can hardly tell that Kep is manufactured.

Kaoh Tonsay: Koh Tonsay is a Cambodian island located off the country’s southern coast in the Gulf of Thailand. “Koh Tonsay” translates to Rabbit Island, it is being administered by Kep Province. Koh Tonsay is located just 4 km south of Kep town, has an area of around 2 km², and can be reached by ferry boat from the local port.
